Description

It is a dream trip of every traveler. It is a high altitude desert located high in the Himalayas, characterized by barren lands, rock faces, hostile roads and bone chilling temperature. It also brags of ancient monasteries, retaining their enduring nature housing a treasure of ancient flags and prayer wheels. The name "Spiti" means "The Middle Land" i.e. the land between Tibet and India.
Travel Itinerary:-
23rd June
23:00 - Catch 22209 Duronto express to Delhi.
24 June
16:30 - Reach Delhi and board Volvo bus to Manali. Overnight bus journey.
25 June
Arrive at Manali early in the morning which is the final meeting point. Check-in the hotel and get fresh. We spend the day exploring Manali and doing last minute shopping for the trip ahead. There are various scenic spots and trails around Manali.
26 June
Wake up early and start the road journey to Batal in Lahaul Valley. After crossing the Rohtang pass, you will witnesses the sudden change in landscape. We enter into a high altitude desert, leaving behind green valley of Kullu. The drive to Batal is along Chandra River which originates at Chandratal Lake. Explore the surrounding and night stay in Batal.
27 June
Take a short drive to Chandratal lake. This high altitude glacial lake is one of the most mesmerizing lake in the Himalayas. Its distinct color and beauty will definitely leave you awestruck. Later begin the car ride to Kaza crossing Kumzum pass which connects Lahaul and Spiti valley. Overnight at Kaza guest house.
28 June
Drive to the highest monastery in the world, the Kee Monastery. Explore the monastery and interact with the Lama’s. Have delicious Tibetan lunch. Later, drive to Kibber which is one of the highest permanently habituated village in the world. We can go for an evening walk on some beautiful trails around the village. Overnight at Kibber
29 June
Wake up early and begin the road trip to village Mudd in Pin Valley. This valley is often regarded as the most beautiful valley in Himachal Pradesh. We will reach Mudd by lunch time. Check-in the guest house and relax. We can go for a soothing walk into the breathtaking valley in the evening.
30 June
Today we start early for the long drive back to Manali. It will take us 12 hours to reach Manali.
1 July
Spend the day relaxing in Manali and catch the evening Volvo bus to Delhi. Overnight bus journey.
2 July
Reach Delhi in morning.

Things to be carried
Compulsory:
Identity card
Jacket, sweater and other warm clothes like muffler, gloves etc. Temperature near zero is expected
Rechargeable torches
Sport shoes or trekking shoes
Two water bottles all time in your bags
An umbrella. Light drizzle is expected.
Personal medical kit, soap, paste etc. Please don’t expect to get medical stores everywhere
Carry your luggage in a backpack. Avoid carrying sling bags. You should be able to walk long distances carrying your luggage. If possible carry a big plastic bag to cover your bag when you put it on bus-top.
Recommended but not compulsory:
Sunscreen, sunglasses, cap etc.
One bedsheet/blanket
Juice packets, dry fruits, Ready to eat food etc.
Expectations from this trip:
This is a backpack trip. We will choose place of accommodation based on group’s opinion and the expertise of group leader.
Mostly, you will be getting vegetarian food.
Respect the local people and their culture. We try to learn more from them.
Our daily schedule during trip may differ from our usual daily life schedule with respect to day chores, tea timing, food timing etc. Please don’t complain about these petty issues.
On most of the days we will wake up early to travel comfortably and enjoy the serenity of morning.
Since it is a backpack trip, you are expected to proactively involve in helping the team. Most of our decision will be based on group’s opinion but the decision of group leader will be final.
Smoking and drinking is discouraged and restricted. Group leader will not be responsible for any mishaps arising due to smoking and drinking at high altitudes.

Some tours require your original passport or Government ID (Pancard/Driving Licence/Aadhar Card), tripXOXO will not be responsible if you miss any tour where your passport or ID is mandatory.
tripXOXO reserves the rights to charge 100% No show charges if guest is not turning up on time for the pick up.
No refund for partly utilized services.
Due to any uncontrollable circumstances i.e. (traffic conditions, vehicle breakdowns, delay by other guests, weather circumstances) if the tour gets delayed or cancelled, tripXOXO will provide alternate options if possible.
Seating arrangement is done as per the availability & it is decided by Driver or Tour Guide.
