Nishani Motte : is relatively unknown peak in the range of Bhagamandala (Talacauvery) range, Coorg. It is about 335 Km from Bangalore and The trek distance from the base point Talacauvery is around 13 – 14 kms.
10 pm – 12 am - Bangalore
Leaving from Bangalore at late evening. We request you to have some light food before travelling. This trip would be an overnight journey to Bhagamandala Village (via Virajpet)
which is about 335 km away from Bangalore, in which we would have an informal introduction and have fun.
7 am – 8.30 am – Bhagamandala
We will reach Home Stay in morning. Fresh up and Set up for the trek after a nice breakfast.
8.30 am – 11.30 am – Bhagamandala Temple
After the breakfast we would go to the Bhagamandala Temple. We would spend sometime there and from there would go to Forest Department for permission.
After that we would take a bus ride of about 4 km from homestay to the Starting point of the Base of Nishani Motte
1 pm – 2 pm – Jeep road path
The initial trail of the trek is bit broad jeep road which leads you to the jungle. While passing through the dense forest, it is advisable to pass peacefully without disturbing the nature or its animals.
The first check point of Nishani Forest is APC (Anti – Poaching Centre). Here we will have our packed lunch. And then start to rest of the trek to the first view point.
2.30pm – 3.30pm – First View point
Nishani Motte is the third peak from the start point. The undisturbed natural view from the peak is a perfect example of raw and untouched beauty of nature.
4 pm – 5 pm – The Peak
There are several view points on this trail but the one from the top always win our hearts.
5.30 pm – 6.30 pm- Camp Base Point.
The lush-green forest view from the top inspires you with its beauty and vastness and adding a sunset to the list merges you into the very own beauty of Coorg mountains.
After the Sunset we would start pitching our tents on the base points itself and camp fire and fun games.
We would be cooking our own food on the top of the mountain for dinner.
After the dinner and a sound sleep in the lap of the mountain, we would get up early for sun rise. The Coorg sun rise is even more beautiful than its sun set.
Later after the sun rise we would start descending and would be back to homestay for breakfast and fresh up.
Next Day -
9 am – 10 am – Tibetan Monastery.
After the breakfast we would pack our bags and head to the Tibetan monastery in Kushal Nagar. Spending a Quality time there, we would head start to our return journey to Bangalore.
