Pune was once the base of the peshwas (prime ministers) of the Maratha Empire. It's known for the grand Aga Khan Palace, built in 1892, and now a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, whose ashes are preserved in the garden. The 8th-century Pataleshwar Cave Temple is dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva.
Savitribai Phule Pune University formerly the University of Pune, was founded in 1948. Spread over  a 411 acre (1.66 km2) campus, the university is home to 46 academic departments. It has been given the highest "A" rating by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) for its overall performance.
Kirkee War Cemetery - The cemetery contains 1,668 Commonwealth burials of the Second World War. There are also 629 First World War servicemen buried in the cemetery in unmarked graves in the grassed area between the memorial and the Cross of Sacrifice, and who's names are recorded on the Kirkee Memorial.
Visit the very famous Osho International ashram to get a spiritual feel of this place, which is very calm and relaxed. 
Tribal Museum exhibits the cultures of the tribal communities, mainly from the Sahyadari and Gondwana regions. It's a place where you can get an insight into the lives of the tribal communities of Maharashtra.
Visit historic Shinde Chhatri, located in Wanawadi, a memorial dedicated to the 18th century military leader Mahadji Shinde, who served as the commander-in-chief of the Maratha army under the Peshwas from 1760 to 1780.
Shaniwarwada is an 18th-century fortification in the city of Pune in Maharashtra, India. Built in 1732, it was the seat of the Peshwa rulers of the Maratha Empire until 1818.
At the end of the tour get dropped off at your hotel/ airport /railway station in Pune city.
