Description

It is advisable to have a prior trekking experience in Himalayas. We will be trekking upto an altitude of 4650m where oxygen level is 40% lower than sea level and proper acclimatization is needed.
Rupin pass trek is like an orchestra building up sensations every now and then. A new scenery unfolds at every turn as we trek along the blue waters of the Rupin. The trek at various places passes through the forests of fir, Rhododendron & Oak and finally through an echoing snow filled gully making you full of exhilaration.

20th May, Saturday
23:55 - Catch 12205 Nanda Devi Express from Delhi
21st May, Sunday
06:00 - Reach Dehradun. This is the final meeting point
07:00 - Leave for Dhaula in a Jeep
17:00 - Reach Dhaula. Evening at leisure
22nd May, Monday
Trek starts today from Dhaula (1575 m) to Sewa (1880 m)
23rd May, Tuesday
Sewa to Jiskun (2320 m)
24th May, Wednesday
Jiskun to Udaknal (3050 m)
25th May, Thursday
Udaknal to Dhanderas thatch (3575 m)
26th May, Friday
We will explore around Dhanderas and acclimatize ourselves
27th May, Saturday
Dhanderas thatch to Upper Waterfall camp (4000 m)
28th May, Sunday
Upper Waterfall camp to Rupin Pass (4650 m) and then to Ronti Gad (4000 m)
29th May, Monday
Ronti Gad to Sangla town. Trek ends at Sangla
Catch bus for Chandigarh in evening
30th May, Tuesday
06:00 - Reach Chandigarh
07:40 - You can take 12058 Jan shatabdi Express which reaches New Delhi at 12PM

Highlights

• Waterfalls: You will encounter many waterfalls and stream though the trek. The best of the sights is the famous three stage water fall of the Rupin
• Hanging Village: Jhaka is a uniquely positioned village at the utmost edge of the mountain
• Snow Bridges: You will come across numerous snow bridges on the trek.
• Kinner Kailash: You will get the views of enormous Kailash Peak while you reach towards the end of Rupin Pass

Things to be carried
Compulsory:
Identity card
Jacket, sweater and other warm clothes like muffler, gloves, winter cap etc. Temperature below zero can be expected
Rechargeable Torch       
Proper trekking shoes
At least two water bottles all the time during trip.
Personal medical kit, soap, paste etc. Please don’t expect to get medical stores in remote villages.
Carry your luggage in a backpack. Avoid carrying sling bags. You should be able to walk long distances carrying your luggage
Recommended but not compulsory:
Sunscreen, sunglasses, cap etc.
One bed sheet or blanket
Juice packets, dry fruits, etc.
Expectations from this trip:
Expect only simple vegetarian meals (sometimes eggs)
Drinking and smoking is strictly prohibited
Our daily schedule during trip may differ from our usual daily life schedule with respect to day chores, tea timing, food timing etc. Please don’t complain about these petty issues.
Respect the local people and their culture. We try to learn more from them about the place.

Due to any uncontrollable circumstances i.e. (traffic conditions, vehicle breakdowns, delay by other guests, weather circumstances) if the tour gets delayed or cancelled, tripXOXO will provide alternate options if possible.
Seating arrangement is done as per the availability & it is decided by Driver or Tour Guide.
